Crackdown against unregistered schools and academies launched in Lahore

District Education Authority in Lahore has launched a crackdown against unregistered schools and academies operational in different parts of the provincial capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The authority constituted different committees under the supervision of District Education Officers (DEOs), Deputy District Education Officers (DDEOs) and Assistant Education Officers (AEOs).
The committee formed under the supervision of Deputy District Education Officers will monitor private schools and academies.
Data of all private schools and academies who were receiving fees less than Rs4,000 will be checked by committee formed under Assistant Education Officers.
All the un-registered schools and academies will be asked to register their institution immediately. In case of the failure the relevant school and academy will be sealed immediately.
These monitoring committee will examine fees structure, building fitness and registration procedure of the institution.
These committees will also check CCTV cameras, security and 8 feet height of the educational institution’s walls. Monitoring officials will issue A, A+, B and C category certificate to the institution.
Heavy fine will be imposed on schools and academies who will ignore directions of monitoring officials.
School Education Department already issued a notification for strict monitoring of schools and academies in the city.
