Punjab sets October 31 as deadline for illegal immigrants to leave Pakistan

The Punjab Home Department has given the illegal immigrants in the province time till October 31 to voluntarily leave Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
An important meeting presided over by Mian Shakeel Ahmed, Additional Chief Secretary Home Department to review the federal government's policy regarding illegal immigrants.
In the meeting, Special Secretary Interior Fazl-ur-Rehman, DIG Operations Muhammad Waqas and Additional Secretary Internal Security Usman Khalid Khan and law enforcement officers were also present.
The participants of the meeting were briefed by the Federal Ministry of Interior regarding the foreigners residing illegally.
In the meeting, the policy of the federal government regarding foreign nationals living without legal documents was informed.
According to the instructions of the federal government, foreigners who do not have POR cards after October 31 will not be spared said Additional Chief Secretary Home Punjab Mian Shakeel Ahmed.
In the meeting, suggestions regarding illegal foreigners were also taken from the commissioners of Punjab through a video link.
