Sindh to set up detention camps for keeping illegal Afghan immigrants

Sindh government has decided to set up detention camps in all seven districts of Karachi for keeping illegal Afghan immigrants, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.  

Sources said that illegal Afghans will be kept in these camps after being caught.

Illegal Afghan immigrants will be deported from these camps by bus or ship, sources said.

Space in various government buildings has been allocated for detention centres.

Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of respective districts will monitor the detention camps.

Intelligence Agencies will monitor all processes from the detention of Afghan citizens to their deportation.

All these steps are being taken in the context of the Apex Committee decisions in Islamabad.
