Pakistan says Kashmiris, not India, to decide the fate of Kashmir

Emphatically stating that the people of Kashmir would decide their future in the light of the UN resolutions, Pakistan on Thursday termed Indian External Affairs Minister Jay Shankar’s statement on Kashmir ‘unilateral’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the Kashmiris would decide their fate themselves.
She further said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session fo which a detailed declaration would be issued later.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that invitations had been sent to the states’ heads for participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting. “SCO’s 23rd Foreign Economic Trade session will be held in Islamabad on September 12,” she informed.
Mumtaz said that Pakistan had always expressed the desire for good relations with Bangladesh.
The spokesperson went on to say that Pakistan was committed to the elimination of terrorists.
