Police arrest Gandapur after long stand off outside high court

Police Thursday arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former minister Ali Amin Gandapur alt last who used the premises of the Peshawar High Court's (PHC) Dera Ismail Khan Bench to hide himself to avoid arrest.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, former minister Ali Amin Gandapur appeared before the Dera Bench in a case and when the police surrounded the court building to arrest him, he hid inside the premises.
The channel report said the police have alerted for the arrest of Ali Amin Gandapurpur and a heavy contingent of it under the supervision of Dera Ismail Khan DPO Rauf Babar has surrounded the Court building from all sides.
As per the report, a dramatic situation has been created on the site as the PTI leader is present on the court premises for several hours while the DPO with a large number of police personnel, armoured vehicles and trucks present outside the Peshawar High Court Dera Ismail Khan Bench.
The channel report said the official time of the Peshawar High Court Dera Ismail Khan Bench has been ended but Ali Amin Gandapur is still not coming out for fear of arrest.
Interestingly, PTI leader Gandapur's men provided the home-made iftar meal (breaking the fast meal) to him inside the court premises.
