Eight terrorists gunned down in Dera Ismail Khan gunbattle

Eight terrorists were gunned down in a gunbattle with security forces personnel in Dera Ismail Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a statement released by the military’s media wing ISPR on Saturday, the security forces personnel conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on April 5 in Dera Ismail Khan District after receiving information about presence of terrorists there.

During the conduct of the operation, an intense firefight took place between the two sides; resultantly eight terrorists were sent to hell.

The slain terrorists had remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces and target killing of innocent civilians.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, said the ISPR statement.

Local residents of the area appreciated the operation carried out by the security forces personnel.

Sanitization operation was carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces were determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
