The Islamabad district administration Tuesday evening unsealed a mall hours after the Capital Development Authority (CDA) had shut it down for "violating" building regulations.
The mall has been unsealed after the district administration held talks with traders, who had been protesting since the morning after the mall had been shut down.
The traders had blocked Jinnah Avenue in protest and warned that they would bring the capital to a halt if the mall was not opened.
According to CDA officials, rules were violated in the basement of Centaurus Mall as only parking is allowed in the basement.
However, Al-Fatah store, various offices and construction materials are kept in the basement, CDA officials said.
CDA officials said the basement cannot be used for commercial purposes and the parts of the basement, apart from the parking, which had illegal spaces, will be sealed.
The sealed premises will be de-sealed only after the violation of the rules is over, CDA officials said.
