Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Monday telephoned Turkish ambassador to Pakistan Mehmet Pacaci and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and properties in an earthquake in Turkey, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The chief minister announced to send 50-member rescue and relief team to Turkey.
Meeting with KP governor
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi Monday welcomed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Haji Ghulam Ali at the CM’s office in Lahore and discussed with him the matters of mutual interest and the promotion of inter-provincial harmony, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Both the governor and the chief minister agreed to further promote efforts for inter-provincial harmony.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed complete solidarity with the families of the martyrs of Peshawar bomb blast.
“The need for unity and harmony to end the scourge of terrorism is greater than ever,” he stressed.
“For the promotion of inter-provincial harmony, everyone has to forget differences and be united,” he added.
