Allotment of plots to journalists under RUDA challenged in LHC

The government’s decision to allott plots to journalists under Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) was challenged in Lahore High Court on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court issued stay order on giving plots to the journalists to the extent of the applicants.

The implementation of the advertisement by the Punjab government and Ruda was made subject to a court order.

The court issued notice to Punjab Government, Chief Executive Roda, Punjab Journalist Housing Foundation.

The court issued a notice to the parties and sought their response.

How can the allotment of plots be done by ignoring the employees of the information department, Justice Sultan Tanveer Ahmed remarked.
