Thieves cut and stole the safety grills fixed around the metro bus route in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The iron bars installed around the metro bus route from Jain Mandar Chowk to Shama Bus Stop on Ferozpur Road were removed by unknown people, creating risks for the passengers and passersby.

Despite numerous complaints, the police failed to control the theft.

The residents of the area and the passengers urged the government to fix the safety bars again as open route posed risks for the bus passengers as well as the passersby.

The traders and the commuters also requested the local government and police to also improve the security and safety of the bus route.
