PTI chairmanship removal case: ECP issues notice to Imran Khan

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday issued a notice to Imran Khan to explain his position in the PTI chairmanship removal case on January 11 at 10:00 am.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to appear on the appointed date in person or by his counsel.
The notice of the ECP said Imran Khan should appear before the commission on the appointed date and explain his position that how he could continue his duties as the party (PTI) chairman when he has been disqualified as MNA.
The ECP also mentioned the reference to the decisions of the Supreme Court and the commission in the notice.
The ECP's notice has been sent through the District Election Commissioner Islamabad at the Bani Gala residence of Imran Khan.
