Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has rubbished the election rigging claims, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

“I reject the claim of the biggest rigging in the February 8 election,” Bilawal Bhutto said while addressing a press conference in Quetta.

Flanked by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the former foreign minister said the PPP has been enjoying public support.

“It did not get the biggest benefit from rigging,” he said, adding: “Political opponents have to cry whether they win or lose.”

Bilawal Bhutto reiterated the PPP's resolve to empower women, saying that the party has been on a campaign to protect women's rights.

There is a plan to build a green park using solar energy.

About law and order, he laid stress on concerted efforts to cope with the challenge, saying: "On Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, the prime minister has convened an all-party conference."

"We will participate in the APC. Countering terrorism is only possible through consensus."

He spoke of the PPP schemes to empower women financially.

He added: “Women have also been given a share in the Chief Minister's Scholarship programme. It is a great pleasure that among the Balochistan toppers, there are a large number of women."

“Apart from Quetta, other citizens will start Sindh-style pink bus service.”

He continued: "Like Sindh, health facilities will be made public in Balochistan too. Cardiac hospitals will be updated and Karachi-style NICVD will also be built in Quetta."

"In the first phase, a modern hospital will be established in Quetta. Rescue 1122 is being launched from 10 districts in the first phase."

"Scheme to empower youth with skills are on. In two years, 30,000 successful youths will be sent abroad."

"Women will be made independent by giving interest-free loans."

"Loans will be given to women to put them on their feet."

"Women loan scheme has 90% recovery."

"Interest-free loans will also be given to the women of Balochistan."

"50% of the population consists of women, making them independent is the philosophy of Peoples."

"During the election, citizens had planned to provide solar energy."

"Under the 18th Amendment, the institutions have been given to the provinces, so financial stability will come here."

"The provincial government is providing solar energy to farmers which is welcome."

'In Balochistan, 50,000 houses were damaged by floods and these will be reconstructed."

"Efforts have been made to get the due share of funds from the centre."

He said since the PPP came into power in Balochistan after the February election, this has been his second press conference.

He said he was briefed on the ongoing projects and the party members.

There are ways of development in Balochistan but there are also many problems, he said.
