Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) on Saturday recorded their protest against the 6 June 1984 attack, the infamous ‘Operation Bluestar’ by Indian army against the holiest site of Sikhism in Amritsar that resulted in heavy losses on both sides.

PSGPC on its official twitter handle @parbhandak said, “PSGPC protest against 6 June 1984 attack on Sri Harminder Sahib and paid tribute to the Sikh martyrs who laid their lives.”

In 1984, Sikh leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale led the armed resistance with his followers from the buildings of the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) complex in Amritsar against the Indian army. The operation led to the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi same year.
