Education is essential in every field of life, no matter what profession someone steps into. It awards a person, specification, recognition, respect, and confidence, all necessary to consider the world correctly, with an ability for excellent decision-making.

However, when it comes to showbiz, Many, particularly in Generation Z, believe that working in the entertainment and drama industry is easy and that having a university degree is not necessary. But this is not what our celebrities think, we have many Bankers turned Actors in our industry!

Below is a roster of incredibly gifted Pakistani celebrities who have achieved remarkable scholastic achievements:

Usama Khan:

From Accounting to Acting!

Usama, the heart-rob, the super handsome actor is an ACCA Graduate from SKANS, Lahore. Usama Khan worked in the banking industry after his education and before starting his acting career.

 

Momina Mustehsan

Momina Mustehsan, a well-known singer and queen of melody, has double majored in Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics from Stony Brook University, New York. Within Biomedical Engineering, she specializes in Tissue Engineering, and in her interview with Samina Peerzada, she said that she plans to do a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. Momina also stated that she doesn’t like how people only know her for singing but not for engineering.

Sanam Jung

Sanam, a well-known super-talented VJ, Sanam studied for her Bachelor's (BBA) and Master's (MBA) in Business Administration with majors in Banking and Finance from CBM/IOBM (Institute of Business Management), Karachi. Sanam told in an interview that she was always good at mathematics and if she was not in showbiz, she would be working in a bank right now as a General Manager. Currently, Sanam is using her business degrees in her Fragrance brand, “Sanam Jung Fragrances”.

Mawra Hocane

Mawra Hocane is a super-talented actress, studied for her LLB i.e. a Law degree from the University of London alongside her acting projects.

Ameer Gilani

Actor Ameer Gilani studied for his LLB at the University of London and later on he posted on his Instagram about getting into Harvard Law School for an LLM.

Aymen Saleem

Aymen Saleem, Mishi from Chupkay Chupkay a well-known actress studied at a prestigious business school Wharton School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania which ranks No. 1 in the whole world for business education. Aymen holds a Business degree with double majors in Finance and Strategic Management, and also she interned at JP Morgan the biggest Investment Bank in the world, after her graduation she joined the top consulting firm McKinsey & Co. as a Management Consultant where she consulted and advised governments of MENA region.

Hamza Ali Abbasi

Hamza Ali Abbasi, a well-known actor and public figure holds an International Relations undergraduate degree from JCCC (Johnson County Community College) in Kansas City, USA. Later on, he studied for his master's in International Relations from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He also passed the CSS (Central Superior Services) exams and was working as a civil service officer in the police group before abandoning the job to concentrate on his passions, film-making and acting.

Fawad had his education from Lahore. He did his A levels and then bachelor’s in Computer Sciences.

Aamina Sheikh

Aamina had her primary education from Mama Parsi School before moving to Riyadh. She came back to do her O’levels from ‘St Joseph’s convent’ and A’levels from ‘The Lycuem School’ in Karachi. Aamina is a pharmacist by profession.

Imran Abbas has established his name in the acting and modeling industry but few know that he holds a degree in Architecture from National College of Arts.
