IHC dismisses objections in petition against Election Amendment Ordinance

The Islamabad High Court dismissed the objections of the Registrar's Office on all three applications in a petition against the Election Amendment Ordinance and the ongoing proceedings in the Election Commission, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard three applications.

Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari and Aamir Mughal have filed petitions while the Registrar's Office has objected to the applications.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq asked the lawyer what you have challenged in such application.

The advocate Sujeel Swati replied that the action of the Election Commission against the Ordinance and the Election Tribunal has been challenged.

He told the court that today, the case is scheduled in the Election Commission.

The Chief Justice ordered first put a number on the petitions and then we will see.
