The Pakistani showbiz personalities taking to their social platforms offered condolences over the sad demise of legendary artist Qavi Khan.

Qavi Khan passed away yesterday in Canada. He was 80 and suffering from a kidney-related disease.

Simi Raheal, Humayun Saeed, Yasir Hussain, Fahad Mustafa, Saboor Aly, Sajal Aly, Farhan Saeed, Adnan Sami, Adnan Siddiqui, Urwa Hocane, Usman Mukhtar, Nadia Hussain, Imran Ashraf, Ijaz Aslam, Vasay Chaudhry, Hira Tareen Feroze Khan and other celebs expressed their love and prayed for the departed soul.

Actress Simi Raheal took to Instagram and wrote a short note for Qavi Khan while posting a photo with him.

“The legend professional, artist, teacher, friend, husband, father and the great human. This image is from 1991…. I knew him well I knew him for a very long time … we were together in many projects… his smile his patience his humility are rare… so many memories of a great artist who was dearly loved and deeply respected… he will be missed”, she said.

“One of a kind Qavi khan. May Allah grant you jannat and eternal peace. This image is from a special project for ptv written by Sarmad Sehbai. Deepest condolences to friends and family”, she added.

“An icon, an inspiration, an institute... Qavi sahab taught so many of us not just how to act but also how to embrace our passion by dedicating his own entire life to his one true love - acting. May Allah bless his soul

Host and actor Fahad Mustafa showed his love for Qavi Khan saying, “Heartbreaking to hear the passing of legendary Qavi Saab. Such a great loss for our industry. I am blessed, I got the opportunity to work alongside him in the film ‘Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad’. He was the maestro in his craft and such a genuine and pure soul. Inalahi Wa Inalahi Rajihoon.”

Saboor Aly took to her Instagram and shared a heartfelt note for Qavi Khan along with two pictures and called her grandfather (Nano) in last.

“Aap bohat pyaray insan thay aur jitna Aapne hum sab se pyar dia aur humain sikhaya hae uskay liay hum sab Aapkay shukkar guzaar hain…

“It is hard to believe that you’re not here to give us more love and teach us

“I never had the opportunity to work with Qavi Sahab but always heard amazing things about him from everyone. What a tragic loss to the entire nation”, said Usman.

Imran Ashraf wrote with a broken heart emoji, “Qavi Khan sahib chalay gaya I love you sir”.

“Deeply sorry to hear about the passing of veteran actor Qavi Khan. He was a true icon in the entertainment industry and his talent and contributions to Pakistani cinema and television will never be forgotten.

“May the memories of Qavi Khan's life and work bring comfort to his loved ones and fans alike. May his soul rest in peace”, said Ijaz.

“Painful to see such a legendary artist and exemplary human being leave us. Truly a role model in every way. He was a phenomenal actor who was extremely dedicated to his craft. But one thing that always stood out is the fact that he was always held in high regard and spoken highly of by all his peers and juniors. He will always be in our hearts due to his humility, integrity and sheer kindness. May his soul rest in peace. We will miss you Qavi Saab”, Hira added.

Actor Feroze Khan took to Instagram and shared a picture with Qavi Khan with caption: “My jan left so soon. It was too cold that night and his hugs kept me warm.”
