PML-N MPA’s father shot dead in Pakpattan

Ahmed Ali Arain, father of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA from Pakpattan Mian Naveed, was murdered on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Police said that Arain was shot dead in the bedroom of his home in Pakpattan while further investigation was underway.

MPA Naveed told media that his servants informed him about the incident on telephone following which he rushed to his native city.

Rescue officials said that bullets’ shells were also found in the room.

CM Hamza takes notice of MPA’s father’s murder:

On the other hand, declaring it a ‘test case’ for the Punjab Police, Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz sought a report from the provincial inspector general of police (IGP) and ordered arrest of the culprits at the earliest.

He also offered his condolences to MPA Naveed, and said he was sure that those involved in the incident would soon be brought to justice.
