A prisoner on Sunday attempted to commit suicide after cutting himself with a sharp object over the alleged ‘misbehavior’ of the Adiala Jail’s staff, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the sources, a prisoner named Zubair Akbar who is facing a life imprisonment sentence in a murder case committed in Dina of Jehlum district tried to commit suicide.  The accused cut his lips and stomach with the blade. He also injured both arms and shoulders with the blade.  He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The sources said that he was upset with the attitude of the jail staff. 

A case has been registered in Police Station Beroni, Saddar Rawalpindi under the section of attempted suicide on the complaint of the jail administration.
