Dengue fever claims two more lives in Punjab

The spread of dengue fever in Punjab refused to ebb as two more people including a woman died of the mosquito sting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Another 85 dengue cases were confirmed while 129 patients were under treatment in different hospitals of the city.
The deceased were identified as 64-year-old Khalid Mahmood and 78-year-old Jamila.
The authorities have destroyed dengue larva at 27 different locations in the provincial capital.
It may be mentioned here that as many as 213 new dengue cases were reported in Punjab on Sunday.
The latest information from the Health Department shows 10,350 affirmed dengue cases across 36 districts in Punjab this year. Lahore leads the count with 4,508 cases, followed by Rawalpindi with 2,357, Multan with 1,035, Faisalabad with 477, and Gujranwala with 893 cases.
