Lahore court starts process to declare Moonis Elahi proclaimed offender

An accountability court in Lahore has started the process to declare Moonis Elahi, a former federal minister and a son of former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi, a proclaimed offender in the case of corruption in development works, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The court ordered that an advertisement declaring Moonis Elahi a proclaimed offender be given in the newspaper.
Accountability Court Judge Naseem Ahmed Work heard the case.
The court started the process of declaring Moonis a proclaimed offender at the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The NAB had presented a report about the arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi in the court.
LHC adjourns Pervaiz Elahi’s bail plea for indefinite period
The Lahore High Court (LHC) Thursday adjourned a plea for interim bail to former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for an indefinite period without hearing.
The plea was filed for bail in the case of a Rs29 million bribe in payments to the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC).
Justice Asjad Javed Ghural was to hear the petition of the Punjab government.
