The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday issued a code of conduct for the elections of the cantonment boards.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP has announced to follow the Election Act to monitor the election campaigns of the candidates.

The Election Act would be followed as there was no article or the rule in the law to observe or monitor the cantonment boards’ elections specifically.

The ECP has also announced that the policemen, rangers, and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel would be deployed outside the polling stations to maintain peace on the polling day.

As per the schedule announced by the ECP, the elections of the cantonment boards would be held on September 12, 2021.
