Passengers caught with over 100,000 dirhams at Lahore Airport 

Customs officials successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle foreign currency at Jinnah International Airport, Lahore. 

Over 100,000 dirhams were seized from passengers who were en route to Dubai, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

The passengers, identified as Muntazir Mehdi and Muhammad Kashif, were attempting to board PIA flight PK213 to Dubai. 

Upon inspecting their hand luggage, customs officials discovered over 100,000 dirhams. 

When questioned, the passengers claimed the money was intended for purchasing videography equipment.

The currency was seized, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the individuals involved.
