A key opposition leader has taken a jibe at the government for ‘delay in taking stern action’ against corruption-tainted bigwigs.
PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal cast doubt on PTI’s fair accountability claims as no arrest was made, though FIA publicised last week the report of involvement of Jahangir Tareen and other collation partners in sugar and flour scams.
The former federal minister said: “The corruption virus is confirmed in the ruling coalition partners. The swindlers targeted innocent people. The cunning clan sold sugar and flour on gold prices.”
He questioned as to why the accused were not ‘nabbed’.
“Where is the National Accountability Bureau? Is NAB locked down," said the former planning and development minister who is too facing NAB probe on charges of corruption.
