Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze in one of the engines of Shah Hussain Express, heading from Karachi to Lahore, which had to be stopped at Ahmedpur Sharqia’s Dera Nawab Station on Saturday due to the incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the station master, the engine caught fire due to a technical fault. “However, no loss of life was reported,” he said, and added that now when the fire had been put out, the engine would be repaired and soon the train would be on its way to Lahore.
