The Election Act Amendment Bill 2024 sailed through the Senate, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
The meeting of the Upper House was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani and PML-N Senator Talal Chaudhary presented the Election Act Amendment Bill 2024.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Senators opted for sloganeering and making noise in the House.
The House unanimously approved the bill. The Senate session has been adjourned until 10:30 am on Friday.
Earlier, the National Assembly session that was held with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in the chair approved the bill. PML-N lawmaker Bilal Azhar presented the bill.
