The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a major decision regarding the type of balls to be used in the upcoming domestic season, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to PCB sources, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and the President’s Trophy will now feature the use of the Dukes ball, while Kookaburra balls will be used for One-Day and T20 cricket events throughout the domestic season.
The decision comes after extensive discussions and negotiations between the PCB’s domestic cricket department and various ball manufacturing companies.
The move aims to enhance the quality of the domestic cricket experience and bring it closer to international standards.
The use of Dukes balls in red-ball cricket is seen as a strategic choice, as they are known to provide better results compared to Kookaburra balls.
