Pressure cooker bomb defused in Mardan

The authorities have averted a major disaster in Takht Bhai Tehsil of Mardan District on Tuesday when they defused a bomb fitted in a pressure cooker along a road, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The terrorists planted the pressure cooker bomb along Charsadda Road near Kamran Kalli area of Tehsil Takh Bahi in District Mardan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
After receiving the information about the bomb found in limites of Sarru Shah Police Station, the bomb disposal squad personnel were called in who successfully defused the bomb.
According to sources in the police, four kilograms of explosives were fitted inside the pressure cooker.
District Police Officer Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi and other senior officers also reached the site to monitor making the bomb ineffective.
