CM Naqvi orders land allotment for Smart Police Stations in Lahore

The Punjab government has decided to provide land for the establishment of smart police stations in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
The move is aimed at improving the efficiency and performance of the police department, which has been operating from rented buildings since 1927.
According to the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the work has started to transfer eight police stations in Lahore from different provincial departments to the police department.
The process of allotting the land of Shafiqabad, Nishtar Colony, Wahdat Colony, Nawan Kot, Ghalib Market, Lari Adda and Islampura police stations has already begun.
Land has also been identified for Shalimar, Samanabad Shahdara Town, Batapura, Shadman, Johar Town, Nawab Town, Sundar, Kot Lakhpat, Gujarpura and Shadbagh police stations.
Additionally, three kanals of land for Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Area will be provided by Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Area.
The chief minister said that the smart police stations will be equipped with modern facilities and technology to ensure better service delivery and public satisfaction.
He said that the police department is an important pillar of the state and it deserves respect and recognition for its role in maintaining law and order. He urged the police officers to work with honesty and dedication to uphold the trust of the people.
