Authorities have seized a huge quantity of heroin worth millions from the secret pockets of a truck coming from Afghanistan in Khyber district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to police officials, on a tip-off the truck was searched after it crossed the border at Maichni checkpost and seized nearly 59 kilograms of heroin hidden secretly in the vehicle.

The police took the driver into custody.

Police Sub-Inspector Qamar Abbas said 49.8kg heroin was seized from the truck. The seized contraband was worth millions in international market, the officer added.
