Attempt to smuggle drugs in guava crates foiled in Islamabad

Anti-Narcotics Force has foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs across the country hidden in guava crates in an operation near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to report, a passenger bus was stopped near the Islamabad Toll Plaza after receiving intelligence information about possible drug smuggling.
During the search, 14 kg and 400 grams of hashish was recovered from the crates of guavas in the bus.
The crates of guava were loaded by a person named Bilal Jan.
The said person belongs to a large gang involved in smuggling drugs at the inter-provincial level.
The members of the gang are involved in smuggling drugs in different cities of the country through bus cargo service.
Further investigation has been initiated to arrest the accused involved in the drugs business.
