Poliovirus in sewage lines of 12 cities of three provinces confirmed

Poliovirus has been confirmed in sewage lines of three provinces of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to sources in National Institute of Health, poliovirus was found in environmental samples of 12 different districts of Pakistan.
Sources said samples were taken from sewage lines in November and December.
Sewage lines of Hub, Usta Muhammad and Dera Bugti was turned out to be polio positive while sewage lines of Quetta and Naseerabad are also polio positive.
Polio virus has been found in sewer lines of DI Khan, Tank and Bannu.
Sewage lines of Attock, Jhang, Multan and Khanewal are polio positive.
Polio virus was found in sewer lines of Khanewal for the first time.
