Eight family members fall ill after eating contaminated shawarma in Sialkot

Eight members of a family fell ill after consuming contaminated shawarma in Sialkot, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to the report, the affected individuals were taken to the Civil Hospital but despite their worsening condition the hospital refused to admit them merely prescribing medication and sending them home.

Despite bringing the matter to the attention of the Deputy Commissioner of Sialkot, the affected family was still not admitted to the hospital.

Due to their financial constraints, they could not afford private medical care and were forced to set up an emergency ward at home and treat the patients on their own.

The distressed family has been struggling for two days, seeking medical attention but the hospital administration continues to deny them admission.
