Man shoots friend dead over money dispute, gets injured himself during escape

In a heart-pinching incident in the Jorra Pull area of Shamali Chowni (Northern Cantonment) in Lahore, a dispute over money led to a fatal shooting. One friend shot and killed his companion, injuring another.
The 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday that the deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Imtiaz who was the owner of a motorcycle gear factory.
According to the police, the suspect tried to escape by jumping from the second floor but sustained injuries in the process.
Police said Imtiaz accompanied by his friend Afzal had gone to collect money from Shafiq who is another factory owner in the vicinity.
An argument over the payment escalated, causing Shafiq to become enraged. Shafiq, also known as Kala, opened fire, killing Haji Imtiaz.
In his attempt to flee, Shafiq jumped from the factory roof, resulting in him falling and losing consciousness.
Police apprehended Shafiq in his injured state while the injured Afzal was rushed to Services Hospital for treatment.
Police and forensic teams from the Shamali Chowni Police Station arrived at the scene and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
