Following the series of online concerts performed by artists from home, a virtual sufi programme is scheduled to go live on Sunday, May 10, 2020 to raise funds for Covid-19 victims.

According to the fundraising website and owing to the ongoing Ramazan festivities, the initiative is called the Hamd-O-Naat and Sufi programme.

The concert will feature several singers including Ali Zafar, Rafaqat Ali Khan, Ali Sethi, Haroon Rashid and Ustad Shaftqat Amanat Ali.

The description on the website relayed, “Covid-19 has hit the underprivileged more than any of us. As we all practise social distancing let us not distance ourselves from the most vulnerable whose survival depends on our generosity.”

“As a response to the war against coronavirus, VIGA is providing relief to the most vulnerable, particularly old persons, daily wager laborers, and street vendors. Initially, we aim to support 100,000 families through several of our programs.”
