The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration has beefed up special measures to prevent the spread of Mpox — previously called monkeypox — a viral zoonotic disease and has set up a separate counter at Islamabad Airport for those deported from Saudi Arabia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The immigration of deportees will now be done at Counter number 5 and immigration staff have been provided with masks, gloves, sanitizers and protective uniforms in this regard.
Moreover, a separate immigration stamp was also designated for the immigration of deportees.
Likewise, the FIA immigration staff also received a special training regarding the prevention of Mpox, and they have been given special instructions to strictly implement all precautionary measures.
