PTI to stage 'peaceful' protests on May 9: Barrister Gohar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said Tuesday that his party will stage "peaceful protests" on May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to the media in Rawalpindi, Khan said: "Today, Sher Afzal Marwat was stopped from meeting with the PTI founder. Talks were held with the PTI founder on legal and political matters."
"We hope that 78 of our snatched seats will be returned. The former Rawalpindi commissioner had also mentioned the rigging in the elections."
"The PTI founder had also been apprised of the meeting with the United States ambassador. We have informed the US envoy about the human rights' violations in the country," he said.
He said that Imran has mentioned former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq and former Commissioner Rawalpindi who also mentioned rigging in the elections.
"We would like to request the Supreme Court (SC) to hear our petition in line with the judicial commission," Khan added.
He said earlier the Public Accounts Committee chairmanship issue was an internal matter of the party.
Gohar said earlier the name of Intezar Panjotha was withdrawn and now Sher Afzal Marwat's name was taken back.
He said he would look into the organizational matters of the party together with Shoaib Shaheen.
