Landlords buried a man alive after abduction and hanged to death their sister-in-law on the issue of honour killing in village Mamyan in Jhelum.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, relatives of the killed person named Umar Safdar said the accused landlords called him on a phone three days ago on Nov 04 and then buried him alive after torture.

The relatives had submitted a complaint of Umar’s kidnapping in the Chottala Police Station.

The police arrested one of the five accused landlords who accepted the killing of Umar.

The accused landlord also told the police that Umar was tortured and then buried alive in a local rain drain.

The accused also confessed that they had hanged to death their sister-in-law Maryam Bibi inside the house as she had relations with Umar Safdar.

Local police immediately rushed to the spots and recovered the dead bodies, one from the rain drain and the second hanged in a room of an empty house located in the said village.

Police handed over the dead body of Maryam to her heirs after the autopsy and shifted Umar’s dead body to the hospital for postmortem.

Umar was a government employee and belonged to the Mirza community.
