Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President and Opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said since the Daska by-poll rigging report has come to light and the PTI vote stealing has proved, Prime Minister Imran Khan must tender his resignation and face the law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The PML-N president lamented that rulers after looting wealth were trying to loot votes and people’s right to elect their representatives.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Shehbaz demanded an action over the Deska by-polls rigging report released by the Election Commission of Pakistan. He was of the view that the report had revealed the stealth of Imran Niazi.
“Imran Niazi is powerful. He should present himself before the law. He should follow the example of Nawaz Sharif who despite being a prime minister faced the law,” Shehbaz said adding that one should have got a big heart to attend the court hearings.
He demanded of PM Khan if he had a slightest iota of respect for law, democracy and political ethics, he should resign immediately and face law after the ECP report.
The PML-N president held that it was quite ironic that Imran who got exposed for stealing the Daska by-polls, now wanted to introduce electoral reforms and Electronic Voting Machines. He said his party would fight against the government for hatching a conspiracy against people of Pakistan and its Constitution by introducing amendments to National Accountability Ordinance, EVMs and electoral reforms.
He vowed to defeat the machination of present government to make enslave people of Pakistan after working together with all democracy and people’s loving political parties of the country.
