November 7, 2022 02:22 AM

Security around the Rawalpindi General Headquarters (GHQ have been augmented, sources said on Sunday.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the sources said that the security has been stepped up in wake of the PTI leadership’s tirade against the state organs.

The PTI workers took to the streets and opted for a violent protest after a gun attack on Imran Khan during the long march a couple of days ago.  Imran Khan was rushed to Shaukat Khanum and the march was halted.

An angry protester set ablaze public property and even the motorcycles of the lawmen.  Imran has made an announcement today to resume the march from Tuesday.

The lawmen have been deputed around the GHO to avert any untoward incident, the sources said.

Reportedly, a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by the PTI container that was on the wrong side of the road a couple of days ago.

Last Sunday a TV reporter Sadaf Naeem was crushed to death as he skidded off Imran Khan’s container

The federal capital called in heavy contingents of police, Rangers and FC to cope with any untoward situation.
