ECP enlists 122.1m Pakistanis to cast vote in upcoming polls

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday published the final electoral rolls ahead of local government and general elections 2023, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the rolls, 122.1 million voters will be able to cast their vote in the upcoming elections.
One million new voters have been added to the new rolls. Now the number of registered voters across the country has increased from 121.1 million to 122.1 million.
The voters have been asked to check the voters’ lists and contact the concerned office for correction if found anything wrong.
Likewise, ECP has issued a new voters list for the Lahore district.
According to the final electoral rolls, 64,45,549 citizens of Lahore will exercise their right to vote in the local government and general elections in 2023. In the rolls, 2,93,169 new voters have been registered in the Lahore district. The number of voters was 61,52,380 during the general elections of 2018 in Lahore.
Of these, there are 34,62,943 males and 29,82,606 females, with the gender gap between males and females rising to around 5 lac. As many as 23,23,330 voters of Tehsil City and 330847 voters of Tehsil Cantt are included in the new list. There are 2 10860 registered voters in Lahore Cantonment Board, 4,14,967 in Walton Cantonment Board, 13,35,524 voters in Tehsil Shalimar, 14,59,873 voters in Tehsil Model Town, and 3,70,148 voters in Tehsil Raiwand will be able to use their voting rights.
The total number of voters in the province has reached 6,96,35,548.
