The onslaught of diseases continues in the flood-hit areas of Sindh as two more persons including a woman have died of malaria in flood-hit Shahdadkot, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

It is learnt that a 20-year-old person died of malaria. The deceased was identified as Nadeem Magsi, a resident of Maluk Magsi village of Qubo Saeed Khan.

In another such incident, a 30-year-old woman, Hanifa, died of malaria in the relief camp of Shahdadkot.

The family of the deceased woman were unable to buy a shroud for her due to poverty. Also, water was not available in the relief camp to give a bath to the dead body.

With these deaths, the number of people who died due to malaria and gastroenteritis in the area has reached 41.

It also merits a mention here that the outbreak of diseases has been plaguing the flood-hit areas of Sindh amid no signs of floodwater to recede.
