"Lahore Lahore Aye" mela: CM Naqvi directs best arrangements, programs

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued directives for the grand arrangements and exclusive programs of the upcoming 15-day festival titled "Lahore Lahore Aye” in a bid to celebrate Lahore's rich culture and heritage, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi presided over a meeting focused on the festival, where he emphasized the significance of showcasing the city's diverse and vibrant culture.

During the meeting, he was given a detailed briefing on the "Lahore Lahore Aye" fair.

He was told that various events would be organized for the entertainment of the people in the mela.

The festival promises to encompass various programs of public interest, including sports, music, art, literature, and more.

The festival will feature music concerts, theater performances, puppet shows, and art exhibitions. Historic venues across Lahore will host events, infusing a sense of cultural heritage into the festivities.

One of the highlights of the festival is a theater competition among 18 major universities in Lahore, promising a showcase of creativity and talent.

Additionally, an extensive 7-day book fair will take place at Al-Ahram as part of the "Lahore Lahore Aye" festival.

The cultural extravaganza will also feature renowned Qawwals and singers, enchanting the audience with their performances.

Traditional sports like javelin, kabaddi, and other regional games will add a dash of nostalgia to the festival.

For a mesmerizing visual spectacle, Jilani Park will host drone light shows and laser displays, including "History by Night" and "Punjab Through Ages." The festival will also present a captivating drone-led laser show titled "Heritage."

Adding to the charm, vintage bikes, bicycles, and other vehicles will be on display at the "Lahore Lahore Aye" festival.

 Jilani Park will be transformed into a cultural showcase, representing all four provinces of Pakistan. The Punjab Food Authority will set up unique food stalls within the park.

The festival will not only entertain but also illuminate the city, with selected roads in Lahore receiving lighting and beautification.

To promote cross-cultural exchange, ambassadors from various countries will be invited to participate in this vibrant cultural fair.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi stressed the importance of maximum citizen participation in the programs and directed the utilization of all necessary measures to ensure the success of the event.

The meeting was attended by several officials, including Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Aamir Mir, Additional Chief Secretary, DG Walled City Authority Kamran Lashari, Secretaries of Information, Sports, Tourism, Finance Commissioner Lahore, DG Sports, DG PHA, Deputy Commissioner, and other concerned officers.
