President Arif Alvi calls upon Pak Ambassador-designate to Bahrain

President Arif Alvi Friday met the Pakistan Ambassador-designate to Bahrain in Karachi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Arif Alvi congratulated Saqib Rauf on his appointment and extended his good wishes.

He said Pakistan’s ties with Bahrain are very important. "We need to strengthen the economic, educational and cultural relations between the two countries."

President Alvi directed the embassies to work for the provision of a skilled labour force to the brotherly countries and increase foreign remittances for the betterment of the economy. He said that the exports of valuable products should also be increased.

There is a growing demand for manpower in various socio-economic sectors especially IT and artificial intelligence. Ambassador Saqib Rauf should work for the provision of a skilled workforce in the relative fields to Bahrain and for the increase in bilateral trade.
