The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers Sunday took to the streets of Peshawar to protest the disappearance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The demonstrators gathered at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Chowk, demanding his immediate release.

PTI's local leaders spearheaded the protest, which saw a significant turnout, including a large number of women supporters.

The protesters condemned the violence inflicted on peaceful PTI workers by the Punjab government, denouncing the use of tear gas and other measures against unarmed demonstrators.

“Peaceful protest is our right, and we will not tolerate oppression and brutality,” the activists held.

The protesters further demanded effective action against those responsible for the violence against PTI members and insisted that CM Gandapur be released without further delay.

As tensions escalated, demonstrators attempted to breach the Red Zone to gain access to the provincial assembly, raising slogans for the chief minister's release.

The protesters managed to enter the assembly gallery, chanting slogans calling for Gandapur's release. The assembly’s proceedings were significantly disrupted as the protesters expressed their frustration at the ongoing political situation.
