September 7, 2022 05:25 PM

A proposal has been made to introduce a Rs100 billion cut in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) of the federal government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

As per the official sources, the proposal to introduce the Rs100 billion cut in the PSDP has been made to secure extra funds for the flood-hit areas.

It has also been suggested that no cut should be introduced to the new and fast track projects initiated by the coalition government.

However, a suggestion to slash the funds of unessential and slow track projects is under consideration.

It is to be noted here that Rs800 billion has been earmarked under the PSDP for the current financial year 2022-23.
