PTI founder Imran Khan threatens NAB officials over his wife's imprisonment   

 
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan showed signs of frustration, allegedly threatening NAB Deputy Director Mohsin Haroon, saying, "If I get out, I won't spare you and the NAB chairman," 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, during a break in the Toshakhana case hearing in Adiala Jail on Friday, Imran Khan blamed Haroon for his wife’s imprisonment, vowing to take them to court once he is released. 

As per the channel report, the incident occurred in the presence of jail police officers and NAB lawyers.

Later talking to journalists, Imran Khan announced his intention to take Nazir Butt, Inam Shah, and the Toshakhana investigation officer to court, blaming them for his wife’s seven-month imprisonment. He also criticised the evaluation of a necklace priced at 1.8 crore rupees being inflated to 3.18 billion rupees.

Imran Khan criticised the recent amendments to the NAB laws, claiming they have made it impossible to prosecute white-collar crimes. He said, "These cases are from their era; that’s why they took NRO 2. Nowhere in parliamentary history have public representatives made laws to end their corruption cases." He argued that the new laws only benefit those involved in large-scale corruption and not the 7,000 inmates at Adiala Jail. 

Reflecting on the Supreme Court's (SC) decision on NAB amendments, Imran Khan said it effectively nullifies the Toshakhana 2 case, suggesting he should celebrate. He added that the £190 million case is also nearing its conclusion.

The PTI founder noted that they challenged the NAB Ordinance because the cases were not initiated by his government but dated back to Shahbaz Sharif's tenure, with the exception of the Maqsood Peon sugar scandal during his administration.

Addressing ISPR’s statements, Imran Khan acknowledged that if the military is indeed politically neutral now, it is a commendable service to the country. However, he contested claims that the military has always been non-political, questioning the presence of military personnel like majors, colonels, and ISI officials in jails.

He alleged that he is being threatened with the trial of General Faiz Hameed, arguing that it is ill-intentioned without including General Bajwa, who authorised Hameed’s actions. He claimed that excluding Bajwa from the inquiry was a deliberate oversight because of Bajwa's role in the regime change, implying that involving Bajwa could reveal hidden truths.

Reiterating his commitment, Imran Khan declared, "I am not doing politics; I am waging a jihad. I will not leave the country, unlike those who have their properties abroad." 

He expressed support for Ali Amin Gandapur against internal party criticism, stating that he chose Gandapur and fully backed him. He warned party members involved in conspiracies that he would not grant them tickets in the future.
