Punjab CM visits Yadgar-e-Shahada to pay homage to national heroes

On the occasion of Defense Day, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited Yadgar-e-Shahada in Lahore Cantt on Friday to pay homage to the services of national heroes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
CM Maryam laid flowers on the martyrs' memorial and prayed for high ranks of the martyrs.
After holding meetings with various martyr families, Punjab Chief Minister said that she was feeling proud. She lauded the services of Pakistan Army. She said, “when forces wake up, we sleep peacefully, they protect our borders”.
Maryam Nawaz said “internal defense of the country was the collective responsibility of all of us”. CM Maryam Nawaz said that “martyrs offer their lives for us, it was our collective responsibility to protect the dignity, respect of the forces”. She also paid tribute to the mothers of the martyrs.
Maryam said, “bravery is born from mother's lap, I salute the bravery of these mothers. I salute the families, children and wives of the martyrs.”
She also spent time with the children of the martyrs.
