Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi orders steps to curb human smuggling

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday held a detailed meeting with newly-appointed Director-General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Riffat Mukhtar Raja and directed him to take effective measures against human smuggling and illegal immigration, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary, Federal Interior Secretary Mohammad Khurram Agha and the newly-appointed Director-General National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCA) Waqaruddin Syed were also present on the occasion.
Asserting that all those persons who were involved in human smuggling should be dealt with an iron hand, Naqvi directed that a crackdown should be launched in all the four provinces on such persons.
Naqvi said that these persons played with the emotions of innocent people by showing them golden dreams to send them abroad.
He said that all relevant departments in collaboration with FIA have to take effective measures to curb these crimes.
The interior minister said that cyber security is becoming a global challenge day by day.
He said that the capabilities of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency would be enhanced and their officials will be sent abroad for the latest training.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary said that human smugglers did not deserve any mercy and a comprehensive strategy must be chalked out against them.
