Qatari investors show keen to invest in Punjab during CM Naqvi's visit

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Thursday said that Qatari investment companies have expressed deep interest in investing in various sectors of Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reached Qatar from Dubai where he held meeting with the Chief Executive Officers and senior officials of Qatar's major investment companies in Doha.
The Chief Minister informed the Qatari investors about the investment opportunities and incentives offered by the Punjab government.
He said that the issuance of NOCs has been made faster and easier for foreign investors in Punjab. He added that a Business Facilitation Center has started functioning in Lahore, where 20 provincial and federal departments under one roof will ensure issuance of NOCs in minimum time.
He said that for the first time in history, an electronic one-window operation has been launched for the convenience of investors. He said that a fast-track system of issuing 106 NOCs in 15 days has been introduced. He said that NOCs will be issued for overseas Pakistanis and foreign investors in 10 days.
He said that Punjab has a huge potential for investment in agriculture, livestock, energy, tourism, infrastructure, health, education and other sectors.
He said that the Punjab government is committed to providing a conducive environment for local and foreign investors. He said that the Punjab government is working hard to create more jobs and boost economic growth in the province.
Qatari investors showed deep interest in investment opportunities in Pakistan and will visit Punjab soon to explore the possibilities of investment in various fields.
The officials of Qatari investment companies appreciated the one-window operation system through the Business Facilitation Center and expressed their confidence in the leadership and vision of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
