Nazim Jokhio murder case transferred to anti-terrorism court

In a significant development in the murder case of Nazim Jokhio, a court in Karachi on Tuesday while accepting the aggrieved party’s request, ordered the transfer of the case to an anti-terrorism court (ATC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Judicial Magistrate, Malir had reserved verdict in the case on the last date of the hearing.
The written order will be released later.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of Sindh Assembly (MPA) Jam Owais Gohram Jokhio and his men had allegedly tortured Nazim Jokhio, aged 30, in Memon Goth area of Karachi to death in October 2021 for forbidding some foreigners from hunting houbara bustards and making their video as well.
Nazim later uploaded the video on social media, allegedly angering the foreign hunters and their influential local hosts.
After some days, Nazim was abducted and his tortured body was found in a farmhouse of MPA Jam Owais in Murad Goth, Malir. There were bruises and abrasions on his body.
